It is important that Christians accept the Bible as the Word of God, and that they know why. This is vital in sharing Christ with others, and it is vital for everyday living. Our confidence in the Scriptures as our source of truth, and authority must have a firm foundation in order to stand against the challenges of life. A faith built on anything else will crumble when seriously challenged. The only secure foundation for our faith is Jesus Christ Himself.

There are many things you should look at when deciding whether the Bible is the Word of God and can be trusted. Some of these are: the testimony of Jesus Christ (God) concerning the Old Testament; the testimony of Jesus Christ (God) concerning the New Testament; and the testimony of the Apostles concerning the Word of God.
